How To Wash Belly Dance Costume - Hip Scarves

How to Wash Belly Dance Hip Scarves

Video is at the bottom of this page

Wether you are a belly dance teacher or a student or professional you will probably be asking yourself or others how do you wash a belly dance costume or how do you clean a coin skirt. For professional and expensive garments the best advice is to have the dry cleaned however for inexpensive things like coin hip scarves you can do it at home and if you teach you should definitely be cleaning any garments or props that you may provide for people to wear share and return to you.

So you can wash belly dance coin hip belts by hand in the sink with non biological washing powder (detergent ) and rinse in cool water under the tap or put them in a cotton bag and knot it tightly. Place in the washing machine and wash on 40° degree or cooler on a short wash with medium spin cycle.

Be mindful to have a tight knot in your bag so the hip scarves don't fall out and tangle up

Place outside on the washing line and leave to dry.
