J anuary 2023 was the last intake of new / beginner students.   You are welcome to register an interest in the group and put your self forward and we will contact you if a place becomes available or if the classes open back up publically to mixed ability students. Any new / future classes / courses will be published on this page feel free to check back from time to time to see if it is updated.  Liverpool City Centre Belly Dance at Whisc / Elliot Clark  This class is not running anymore since 2019. Welcome.... Belly Dancing Classes Lessons and Workshops
Classes Running Now!
Liverpool Every Tuesday 1.30pm at Whisc Bold Street Liverpool city centre. This busy class is sports funded giving the opportunity for people to participate in classes for Free. Just turn up on the day. Running until the end of April 2019. Women of all ages and levels are welcome. *Pregnant women welcome with permissions from Medical professional

 Antenatal Belly Dancing Workshops
Tara is expecting her own baby and offers safe low impact belly dance tuition suitable for other pregnant women. The group workshops are suitable for women's groups and organisations that offer services for pregnant women. From £25 per hour session in the Merseyside area.

About - Tara is a professional belly dance performance artist dance teacher workshop facilitator and artistic director. She has over fourteen years of experience performing a and five years teaching. Tara holds certificates and qualifications in dance
teaching fitness and makeup artistry.


 She works from a community dance perspective which encourages people from all walks of life to be involved in dance for health and well being. Tara is currently employed by the Women's charity WHISC in Liverpool teaching weekly classes. Tara is part of a folkloric

dance troupe that tours UK.
Hire - Tara specialises in attending family parties, Women's & Children's occasions and public events that promote awareness charity community culture LBGT and the arts. Solo performer sets are 10 - 30 minutes in length with prices starting from £100. Price may be negotiable depending on the type of event (charity /funded) and budget. Please note - Tara does not dance for free. Tara may perform at restaurants on new years eve where the price is double.

Style - Tara is a dynamic dancer who is artistic entertaining and social. She performs classic golden era style Egyptian Raqs Sharqi /modern Cabaret & Baladi. Turkish Cabaret. Theatrical & Vintage Oriental. Folkloric & Americanised night club styles. She can perform with props such as sword silk veil cane zills/sagat (finger cymbals) Cleopatra wings and more.
Tara's performances are always family friendly and always include the audience /guests. Her performance costuming and appearance is always of a high standard. What you see is what you get.

Tara's dance school is called Tara Dance Arts and has been established since 2013. She has created her own style of class / course called "Bellydance For Arts Health & Fitness" Which focuses on the belly dance artistic technique first then incorporates community dance elements that supports mental well being. The way the class is structured is beneficial for moderate exercises with cardio  resistance and flexibility benefits whilst remaining low impact.
