J anuary 2023 was the last intake of new / beginner students.   You are welcome to register an interest in the group and put your self forward and we will contact you if a place becomes available or if the classes open back up publically to mixed ability students. Blue Lotus Dance - Belly Dance Performers

 Blue lotus are a diverse performance group put together by Tara Belly Dance in Merseyside in 2018. Blue Lotus have performed at belly dance haflas and attended public events. Blue Lotus are often attending summer festivals fetes and parades showcasing classic, theatrical fusion and folk fusion belly dance in groups duets and solos. Contact us to book a show. 

 

New members are always welcome regardless of gender age ethnicity bodytypes learning differences or disability ect Blue lotus is an inclusive and diverse group however not everyone will fit the Blue Lotus vibe or like the blue lotus vibe.  To be part of tbe group we have expectations... you must

- love dance and have good technique and body awareness
- Have experience attending belly dancing classes with Tara or elsewhere 
- Be open to becoming a member of a community where all dancers matter
- Be open to sharing the stage with others and allow everyone to shine 
-Keep negative competion and negative attitude out of the space and group
-Willing to learn new concepts and choreography 
- Be disciplined reliable and dedicated 
- Honour the dance space and respect those who hold it
-Practice to improve your craft
- Not be involved with silly politics of dance
Come to dance, experience and gain opportunities. 
- Agree to dance group etiquette (style, costuming makeup, behaviour when representing our group)
-Respects other dancers
- Respect teachers 
- Respect privacy / creative work
