J anuary 2023 was the last intake of new / beginner students.   You are welcome to register an interest in the group and put your self forward and we will contact you if a place becomes available or if the classes open back up publically to mixed ability students. Schools

Our workshops are focused on Egyptian folklore dance music and culture booked in standard workshops half day or full day booking suitable for children ages 6 and over. 


The style of dance and rhythms taught are an introduction to Saidi dance that can include the use of a bamboo stick or cane also known as raqs al assaya or stick dance. Saidi is a dance of the people and the stick dance connects as far back as the Ancient Egyptians. Drum rhythms are played on a tradition goblet shaped drum called darbuka. Learn about Egyptian dance and culture that is a world away from the stereo types,  Egyptian dance a dance of the people,  Egyptian rhythm the heart beat of the culture.
